Peshtigo Runs Into Stiff Competition At Kimberly Invitational

Going up against some stiff competition at the 14-team Kimberly Invitational Saturday, including several from Division 1, the Peshtigo girls came up with a 12th place finish.

Oshkosh Lourdes Academy won the meet with a score of 58 followed by Kimberly 59, Green Bay Preble 81, DePere 111, Little Chute 169, Freedom 194, Kiel 217, Winneconne 220, Clintonville 225, Chilton 243, Appleton Xavier 283, Peshtigo 301, Ripon 332 and Kaukauna 375.

Leading the Bulldogs across the finish line was freshman Mariah McDonough with a 38th place clocking of 17:13, Anna Madsen was 57th 17:46, Carlee Mylener 63rd 18:01, Rebekah Sokol 66th 18:03 and Samantha Rauch 18:41.

Other times for Peshtigo were Saige Ruleau 91st 19:50 and Claire Stuart 95th 21:30.

The best time for the run was registered by Sarah Richardson of Kimberly with a 15:14 effort followed by Nora Keller of Lourdes 15:23 and Alivia DeCleene of DePere 15:32.

First place Lourdes saw all 5 of its runners finish 16:57 or better.

The boys race saw Kimberly claim top honors with 42 points and Green Bay Preble second at 61.

Daniel Laluzerne of Preble posted a winning time of 16:27 with Sam Hinz of Freedom second at 16:34.

Aaron Bhatoya topped Peshtigo with an 8th place time of 17:10, Eddie Jornlin 52nd 18:53, Bryce Trimberger 57th 19:00 and Hunter Madden 101st 21:31.

Time At Marion Meet,

Girls Claim Second


With Aaron Bhatoya leading the way, Peshtigo notched 4 of the top 7 places at the Marion run Monday. Bhatoya turned in a winning time of 18:35 with Eddie Jornlin 3rd at 19:49, Bryce Trimberger 5th 20:36 and Hunter Madden 7th 21:25.

The Bulldogs did not have five runners and couldn’t compete for team points. Sophomore Tyler Nault sat out his second straight run due to injury.

Iola Scandinavia won the meet with 28 points, Menominee Indian was second at 46 and Little Wolf third with 54.

In the girls portion of the run, Peshtigo pursed a second place finish with 42 points. Iola Scandinavia was first at 29, Marion third 61 and Little Wolf 4th at 95.

Peshtigo saw Anna Madsen register a 5th place clocking of 17:54, Mariah McDonough 6th 17:59, Carlee Mylener 18:10, Rebekah Sokol 11th 19:22 and Sam Rauch 13th 19:40.

Iola Scandinavia had the top 3 runners...freshman Leighten Fischer 16:52, senior Emily Sether 17:12 and junior Shelby Trzebiatows 17:31.

Marinette 8th At

Waupaca Event


Totaling 242 points, the Marines came up with an 8th place finish at the 13 team Waupaca Invitational Thursday. Berlin won the meet with a score of 46 with Little Chute second at 87.

Katelyn Thill topped Marinette with a 30th place time of 18:07, Margaret Michaels 37th 18:43, Kathy Smith 56th 19:22, Courtney Hoffman 59th 19:29 and Joyden Schreiner 60th 19:33.

Berlin’s Kinsey Harmon posted the top time at 15:36.

In the boys run, Marinette was 12th with 384 points. Little Chute won the meet at 57 with Oconto Falls second with 63 points.

Erik Breuer paced Marinette with a 47th place time of 19:31, Jacob Button 55th 19:53, Jamie Wendt 88th 22:46, Josh Hitt 95th 23:40 and Randy Allgeyer 99th 28:58.

Greg Greif of St. Mary’s Central cruised the course in 16:55.

Coleman Last At

Pulaski Invitational


The Coleman girls and boys cross-country teams came up with last place finishes at the Pulaski meet Thursday.

In the girls run, Marquette was first at 66, Gillett 13th 345 and Coleman 14th 401.

Lindsey Rudden of Marquette was first across the finish line at 14:48.

Rebecca Wolfe topped Gillett with a 53rd place time of 17:18, Karissa Rasmussen 58th 17:26, Cassie Baranczyk 61st 17:27, Jenna Herzog 82nd 18:38 and Abbey Horsens 91st 22:22.

Coleman times included Kim Carlson 63rd 17:31, Chastyn Sadowski 18:29, Ashly Rymer 83rd 18:50, Mallory Olcott 86th 19:16 and Sadie Duckert 88th 19:29.

Boys results saw Notre Dame come in first with a score of 59 and Coleman 13th 388.

First place time was turned in by freshman Tannor Wagner of Ashwaubenon in 16:18.

Gillett only had 4 runners with Max Zeitler 67th 17:10, Jeremy Cibulka 79th 19:36, Colin Weiss 81st 19:38 and Bryce Cibulka 88th 20:04.

Jensyn Schaal topped Coleman with a 40th place time of 18:15, Jake Scheel 84th 20:43, Brandon Champagne 87th 21:37, Brandon Lake 88th 22:31 and Jordan Blanchard 89th 23:13.
