Dorothy (Dodie) Mae OBrien Kinziger-Chancellor, 68, passed away early Wednesday morning Oct. 2 after a courageous fight with several illnesses.
Born Dec. 6, 1944, she was raised in Amberg and after graduation, she married Nicholas Kinziger of Pound. They had a daughter, Nikkie Kinziger and resided near Lena for many years, owning and operating the Nik A Doo Farm raising, showing, and racing horses and dogs. She also worked for and managed Schusslers Bavarian Inn. In 1990, she moved west where she settled in Casper, Wyo., meeting and marrying her current husband, Carl Bo Chancellor on March 1, 2001.
She had a passion for all animals but especially her dogs. A modern day pied piper, she was always bringing home strays giving them a place to feel safe. She always looked out for others and was very kind to the elderly. She enjoyed working outside in her garden and yard and was an avid fisher person.
Surviving are her husband, Bo of Casper; a daughter, Nikkie Kinziger, of Oconto Falls; a sister, Betty (Dennis) Wagner, of Powell, Wyo; a brother, John (Alice) O'Brien, of Amherst and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A private viewing was held Friday, Oct. 4 at Bustard Funeral Home in Casper, Wyo. Bustard Funeral Home, Casper, Wyo. and Raymond B. Ackerman, Jr.-Funeral Director, Medical Examiner-Investigator Compassionate Care, Oconto assisted the family
