Ribbon Cutting at New Coleman Business, Cheers

The Coleman Cougar Business Association (CCBA) welcomed a new business, Cheers, to the area on Friday, Oct. 25 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Local dignitaries on hand for the ceremony included Village Board Trustees Wayne Smet and Jeff Gosa and Village/Deputy Clerk Katie Kostrova-Torres. Several members of the CCBA present were Fran Makos, Vern Christopherson and Casey Eisch-Ermis.
Cheers, Where Friends Gather is a restaurant/bar owned and operated by Bev and Bob Mongin and managed by their daughter, Julee Mongin-Frankard. They opened their doors to the public last May 2 and have been going strong ever since then.
The new business has eight employees and offers a varied menu. The grill is open Wednesday-Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm and hopes to add homemade pizza and soups, along with salads in the near future.
A grand opening is planned for Thursday, Oct. 31 with treats offered throughout the day. There will be live music on Friday, Nov. 1 featuring local artists.
