Doris N. Mier, 84, of Niagara passed away unexpectedly on Monday Nov. 4 at her home in Niagara.
Born in Dunbar on Dec. 26, 1928 the daughter of the late Harvey and Marguerite (Smith) Pier, she was a Legion Auxiliary member for many years and enjoyed volunteering at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center. A member of Grace Lutheran Church, she was involved in many church activities and will be missed.
She is survived by two sisters, Alberta Kristoff and Beverly (Richard) Davis and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marland and five brothers, Gerald, Donald, Robert, Vernon and John.
Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine on Thursday, Nov. 7. Burial will be in the Pembine Cemetery. Messar-Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
