Elsie Kottke, age 87, Crivitz resident passed away Thursday, November 7 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay. She was born January 23, 1926 in Cicero, IL to the late Karel & Marie (Dranger) Wankat. In 1964 she married Richard Kottke in Marinette. The couple resided in the Crivitz area where she was employed by the McVane Nursing Home as a secretary for many years.
Before coming to Crivitz, Elsie was a secretary for General Motors-EMD in La Grange, Illinois. She loved being with her family and friends, reading books, antiques, and the Green Bay Packers.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Kottke of Crivitz and Richard (Karen) Kottke of Houston, Tx and two granddaughters, Lucille Elsie Kottke and Evelyn Kottke. One daughter-in-law Karen (Buckner) Kottke, one niece Patricia Michl of Lake Tapps, WA, three nephews Thomas (Betsy) Michl of Delmar, NY, Allen (Marilyn) Wankat of Atlantic Beach, FL and Phillip (Dorothy) Wankat of West Lafayette, IN. and three stepdaughters Crystal Kim of West Chicago, Anita Miller of Racine and Fawn Rogers of Appleton.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard Kottke Sr. Nov. 3, 1992, one brother Charles Wankat, one sister Marion (Wankat) Michl, and one nephew Paul Michl. Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1p.m. Rev. Larry Mertz officiating.
