THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Daniel Reitmeyer, 59, of Kingsford, passed away following a brief illness with complications on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.
Born April 15, 1954, in Crystal Falls, Mi. son of Sally Reitmeyer Westfahl and the late Richard Reitmeyer, he graduated from Forest Park High School in 1972. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged after three years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and always full of fun.
He is survived by his mother, Sally (Russell) Westfahl, Crystal Falls; two brothers, Jim (Jill) Reitmeyer, Monument, Co. and David (Nancy) Reitmeyer, Hope, R.I.; two special aunts, Dorothy (Carl) Franzen, Crivitz and Judy (Darrell) Roy, Stoughton; two nieces; numerous cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to his father, Richard Reitmeyer, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; an uncle, David Holmes and an aunt, Peggy Campfield.
As per his request, private family services will be held at a later date. Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls assisted the family.
