Glenn D. Hallfrisch, 96, of Stephenson, Mi. passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, in Powers.
Born July 10, 1917 in Lake Township to the late John and Mary (Powers) Hallfrisch, he married the former Leona Laurin Feb. 19, 1944 in Nadeau. She preceded him in death in January of 2007. He worked on the family farm, and later opened a car dealership selling Pontiacs, then owned and operated Hallfrisch Service in Stephenson, retiring in March of 1986.
He enjoyed restoring antique cars, caring for his large yard and garden, and trips to the family camp, watching the deer population, timber condition and nature in general. A member of the Church of the Precious Blood, he was a charter member of the Mid County Rescue Squad, past member of the Stephenson Lions Club and belonged to the Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his children, Mary (Fred) Delie, of Green Bay, Daniel, of Stephenson, Patrick (Marcia), of Sault Ste. Marie, Michael (Pamela), of Westerville, Oh. and Mark (Virginia) of Gladstone; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Wright, Delbert, John, Eleanor, Frances, Alice, Harriet and Doris.
Family and friends called at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 18 after 5 p.m. until time of Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Father Ronald Timock officiated with burial in Stephenson Township Cemetery. In lieu of other forms of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in his name for the Mid County Rescue Squad.
