Mark S. Mattrisch
Mark S. Mattrisch, 36, Denmark, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 25.
Born July 19, 1977 in Marinette, son of Raymond and Mary Ann (Podestat) Mattrisch, he graduated from Coleman High School in 1995 and received a degree in Natural Resources from Fox Valley Tech and also a degree in Land Surveying at Nicolet Tech in 2000. He married Kelli Sims on Aug. 27, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield. He was employed by Mau and Associates as a Registered Land Surveyor.
He enjoyed musky fishing, boating, hunting, gardening and spending time with his sons. A member of the Registered Land Surveyors, he was also a stockholder of the Green Bay Packers.
He will be missed by his wife, Kelli; two sons, Drew and Grant; parents, Raymond and Mary Ann Mattrisch; a sister, Sara (Jessie) Landree; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dr. E. Bruce and Donna Sims; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Amy and Tom DuFresne and Steve and Sue Kennitz and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John G. and Loretta Mattrisch; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Marcella Podestat; an uncle, Norman Mattrisch and an aunt, Grace Mattrisch.
Family and friends called Saturday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church in Denmark. Rev. Henry Yoap officiated followed by Interment in the church cemetery. Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark assisted the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Denmark State Bank for his sons education.
