Lucille M. "Lu" Emond, 86, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5 at her home.
Born May 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Freida (LeGreve) LeDocq Sr., she graduated from Kingsford High School in 1945. She married Norbert "Bing" Emond on June 23, 1949 at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. The couple owned and operated Twin Pine Lumber Co. from 1963 until their retirement in 1988. He preceded her in death in 2008.
She enjoyed life. spending time at camp, was a kind, caring person and a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Denny Trewartha, of Iron Mountain; two sisters, Lillian Rodgers, of Kingsford and Marge Gunville, of Niagara; a brother, Wilford LeDocq, of Joliet, Ill.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great niece.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilford LeDocq and Charles LeDocq, Jr., and two sisters, Annabelle Trulock and Arlene Harper.
At her request, private family services were held. Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
