Wausaukee Purchases New Truck, Equipment
Wausaukee--In a 47 minute session, the Wausaukee Town Board opened bids for a new truck and equipment when they met Tuesday, Dec. 10. Absent was Supervisor 2 David Tomasino.
Besides board members present were Jack Pociask, James Pociask, Jack Zore, John Mookie, Eric Cornelius, Peter Jaslowski, Robe Stein, Bruce Broden and Nick Instefjord.
Bids were opened for a 2014 single axle dump truck with plow, sander and wing from six firms.
By a vote of 3 to 1 the Board approved the purchase of the truck from Schultz Equipment and Parts for $93,999 less a $30,000 trade-in for a total cost of $63,999.
In a vote of 3 to 1 the Board also approved the purchase of the plow, sander and wing from Olson Trailer & Body with a stainless steel box for $50,276.
Approved was the report of Treasurer Sally Hultquist showing balance on hand as of Nov. 30 at $17,197.87 in checking and $78,684.77 in the money market general account.
Clerk Cheryl Stumbris reported dog licenses are required in the town. The treasurer will be available to issue dog licenses at the Town Hall on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fee for spayed or neutered dogs is $3 and unspayed or unneutered the fee is $8. A multiple dog license is $35 and is required if more than three dogs are on a single property. Proof of rabies vaccination for each dog must also be provided.
