Dr. Lionel V. Kuran
Dr. Lionel V. Kuran, 83, of Marinette, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born April 3, 1930, to the late Stephan and Lena (Smorong) Kuran in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, he graduated from Assumption College in Windsor, Ontario and from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1956, with an Otorhinolaryngology Degree. He practiced as an ENT and Neck Surgeon in Dearborn until 1979, and then served for 30 years in the Escanaba, Marinette, and Menominee area.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; seven children; four step-children; a sister; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two wives; a sister and a brother.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the spring with the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba. Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
