THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Joshua J. Richards
Joshua J. Richards, 25, of Green Bay passed away tragically on Dec. 9.
He graduated from Gillett High School in 2006 and from NWTC-Sturgeon Bay in 2009. He was loved by many and enjoyed life to the fullest. A member of the Green Bay Blackjack Football Team, he was also involved in competitive body building. He had a kind, witty and generous soul and believed that everyone should always work hard and help others. He was a shining example of that by donating his organs so others could continue on to live.
He is survived by his mother, Jackie (Michael) Pische, of Gillett; his father, James Richards, of Brookfield; a sister, Vicky Richards, of Oconto Falls; two nephews, Ayden and Fisher and a niece, Leigha, all from Oconto Falls; an aunt and uncle, Linda and Paul Smentek and a cousin, Bobby, all of Cecil and many friends.
A memorial gathering in his honor was held on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Classics Restaurant and Lounge in Shawano at 2 p.m. through the end of the Green Bay Packer game. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds were established. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano assisted the family with the arrangements.
