James T. Comins
James T. Comins, 86, of Marinette passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14 at his apartment at The Harbors.
Born Nov. 22, 1927, to the late James and Melissa (Mansfield) Comins, he graduated from Coleman High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army shortly after the end of World War II. On Sept. 14, 1946, he married Katherine Kay Pape in Marinette. She preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2001. He was employed as a Master Electrician for Pape Electric, Drees Electric, and I.B.E.W. A member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette, he was a former Elks member and enjoyed dancing and deer hunting with family.
He is survived by a son, James (Linda) Comins, of Rockland, Ca; a daughter, Linda (Robert) Aubry, of Oconomowoc Lake; two grandsons; a dear friend, Carol and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Kay, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stuart and Ralph and a sister, Charis.
Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thielen Funeral Home, Marinette. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette with Rev. Jon Nelson officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
