Geraldine R. (Kasprzyk) Barker, 89, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Born on May 29, 1924 to Joseph and Stella Kasprzyk, she married Carl M. Barker in 1952. He preceded her in death in 1965. She served in World War II at the U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters in Washington, DC and is a retiree of Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.
They had seven children who survive them, Daniel Barker, Fort Meyers, Fla., Robert (Laura) Barker, Milwaukee, Mary Barker and Roz Barker (Kim Poli), both of Green Bay, Jean (Michael) Bachmann, Denmark, Joni Johnson, Twin Falls, Id. and Nancy Barker (Todd Kroscher), Two Rivers; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Milwaukee with a Vigil held at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3160 S. 63rd Street, Milwaukee with Interment at St. Adalbert cemetery.
