Arvel D. Garrett
Arvel D. Garrett, 74, of Marinette, passed away Friday, Dec. 27 at his home.
Born March 17, 1939 to Arvel and Ida Garrett, he graduated from Fort Dodge Iowa Senior High School and was a retired sergeant in the National Guard with over 20 years of service. A custodian for the Peshtigo School District, he led many Veterans Day celebrations at Peshtigo Elementary School where he was employed. He was a member of the Military Twenty Year Club and a woodworking hobbyist for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Passow, of Sacramento, Ca. and Carol Denzin, of Marinette; a son, Robert Garrett, of Marinette; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Stacey Passow; five brothers; and a sister.
In keeping with his wishes, no services were held. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
