Evelyn M. Sheski
Evelyn Mae (Benson) Sheski, 84, of Spalding, Mi.,passed away on Sunday Jan. 12 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
Born Oct. 23, 1929 in Nadeau to the late Andrew G. and Hanna (Christensen) Benson she served in the United States Army. On Feb. 9, 1963 she married Alex Sheski in Bark River. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2005.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire, going for walks, watching wildlife and being with her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Steve (Susie), of Norway, Dave (Tracy), of Hermansville and Dennis (Lynette), of Chilton; four grandchildren; four sisters, Eunice Ellenberger, Harriet Boruch, Lucille Moore and Verna Perras; five brothers, Kenneth, Maurice, Richard, Andrew and Vernon Benson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward and two brothers, Lloyd and Gerald.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson on Thursday, Jan. 16 after 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dave Christenson officiating. Burial will be in Spalding Township Cemetery in the spring.
