Irene M. Paul, 87, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Friday, Jan. 10 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.
Born on June 27, 1926 in Nadeau, Mi., to the late Alfred and Louise (Mottard) Beaudo, she married Steven Paul Oct. 26, 1948 in Nadeau. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1986.
She was an avid homemaker raising nine children along with working on the family farm. She would make numerous loaves of bread and canned fruits and vegetables for her family. She enjoyed working for the Cedarville and Stephenson Township Election Boards and playing cards. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Survivors include nine children, Sharon Ihander, of Daggett, Wayne Paul, of Dallas, Tex., Dorothy (Bill) Kobus, of Clarkston, Mi., Linda Thoney, of Stephenson, Dennis (Debbie) Paul and Vernon (Cindy) Paul, both of Daggett, Carol (Don) Delaski and Kenny (Toni), both of League City, Tex. and Nancy (Mark) Hackel, of Edgar; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Clifford (Donna) Beaudo, of Daggett.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle and Betty and two sons-in-law, Fran Ihander and Lee Thoney.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 17 after 4 p.m. until time of Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. until 9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Ronald Timock at 10 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
