Patricia L. Galbo
Patricia L. Galbo, 81, of Southbury, Conn., passed away Saturday Feb. 1.
Born June 12, 1932 in Marinette to the late Phil and Violet (Meyer) Clermont, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1950. On Aug. 11, 1951, she married Richard Galbo at the First Baptist Church in Menominee, Mi. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary in 2013. They lived in New York State where they raised three children. She worked as a manager of several large restaurants over the years. In 1991, they returned to Marinette where she worked as a manager at the former Dome Resort. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she volunteered at the Luther Home for several years. In 2005, the couple returned to Connecticut to be closer to their children.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Nettleton, of Southport, Conn.; a son, Patrick Galbo, of New Milford, Conn.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Adams, of Wolcott, Conn.; a son, Mark (Jessica) Galbo, of Telluride, Co.; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a brother, Arthur (Maryann) Clermont, of Green Bay; a sister, Julie (Eldred) Swanson, of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Clermont, of Menominee and Janet Galbo, of Libertyville, Ill. and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, five weeks ago; four brothers, Phil, Jack, Steve and Cal Clermont and two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Aubry and Jean (Robert) Bourgeois.
All services were private. Southbury Connecticut Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, PO Box 605, Newtown, CT 06470 for the Sandy Hook tragedy.
