Helen E. (Kamin) Prefontaine
Helen Emily Prefontaine, 90, of Menominee, Mi., passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Born Feb. 24, 1923 in Bagley, Mi. to the late Robert and Helena (Kamin)
Engel, she married Armedos "Sonny" Prefontaine on Dec. 16, 1944. He
preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1994.
A member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Menominee, she loved gardening, sewing and cooking and enjoyed dancing, listening to music, camping and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and
She is survived by a daughter, Corinne Hesyck; a son, Jeffrey (Theresa) Prefontaine, both of Marinette; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Clarence (Doris) Engel, of Peshtigo, and special friend, Violet Kastner.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Neil; a sister and seven brothers.
Friends called at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 4 p.m. Rev. Lee Goodwin officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee. The Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
