Lorraine A. Van der Linden
Lorraine A. Van der Linden, 96, formerly of West Allis and Shawano, passed away Monday, Jan. 27 in Oconomowoc.
Born Feb. 26, 1917 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Gerhard and Hilda (Hahn) Sonnemann and married Sydney Van der Linden in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1997.
A member of the Eastern Star, she was a loving, giving person who enjoyed most, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and at the cottage on Long Lake, fishing and golfing.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Van der Linden, of Shawano, Sydney Skip (Sandra) Van der Linden, of Florida and Thomas (Karen) Van der Linden, of Oconomowoc; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and a brother, Dale (Marilyn) Sonnemann, of Pound.
Along with her parents and husband, Sydney, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Glenna Van der Linden and three brothers, Gerhard, Howard and Arthur.
Private family services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements.
