Shirley A. Moreau, 78, of Carney, Mi. passed away Monday, Feb. 10 at home.
The former Shirley Ann Menard was born March 13, 1935 in Nadeau, Mi. to the late Andrew and Ida (Monette) Menard. She married Leonard Moreau May 29, 1954 at St. Bruno Catholic Church and worked as a nurse's aid at Pinecrest in Powers for 15 years retiring in December of 2000.
She enjoyed walking, gardening, sewing, knitting and flowers. She was a very clean and neat person and also a pet lover. A member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, her family and church were most important to her.
Survivors include four children, Scott (Kathy), Mark (Lori), Cindy (Bob) Cocco and Bean (Paul) Polfus, all of Carney; their father, Leonard Moreau of Carney; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Ione (John) Moreau, of Carney.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jim (Ada) Menard.
Family and friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau on Wednesday, Feb. 12 after 3 p.m. until time of Eulogy at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 p.m. officiated by Father Michael Vichich. Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery in the spring. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
