Legion Unit 66 Offers Scholarship
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 66 of Athelstane/Silver Cliff will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior, home school included, who is a resident of the towns of Athelstane or Silver Cliff. Non-resident of Unit 66 junior members are also eligible to apply and interested students should contact their school advisors for the scholarship. Unit 66 President Ann Wender, Treasurer Priscilla Maeder, or Scholarship Chairman Dee Farley also have copies of the application for those unable to get one through their school.
The application deadline is April 14th and completed applications should be sent to Unit 66 Scholarship, c/o Dee Farley, W14870 Kimball Lane, Silver Cliff, WI 54104.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of Athelstane/Silver Cliff Unit 66 can contact membership chair Lois Haas or any other member for information on eligibility requirements. The Legion Auxiliary which is the largest women's organization in the United States supports veterans programs and community projects throughout the year in addition to the scholarship.
