Child Development, Jr.-K Registration
The School District of Coleman will hold a pre-kindergarten screening on Thursday, March 6th and Friday, March 7th from 8 am to 3 pm. Screening will take place at the Coleman Elementary School and all children who live in the School District and will be 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2014, are invited to attend the Child Development Days. Educational and health care personnel will be available to assess developmental skills as well as check hearing, vision, and immunization records.
Children and parents will meet the pre-kindergarten staff and discuss schooling options as well as any concerns parents have on child development. There will be beneficial information available on a wide variety of relevant topics including materials and activities parents may use at home with their children.
Appointments can be made by calling Julie Pusick, early childhood teacher at Coleman Elementary School at 920-897-4011 x2. The screening will take approximately one hour to complete and is designed to be an enjoyable and fun experience for children. The school asks that each participant bring the child's updated immunization record. If registering for junior kindergarten, bring child's original birth certificate and immunization record.
This will also be Coleman's Junior Kindergarten Registration Days. To register a child for junior kindergarten stop at the elementary office that day. No appointments are necessary.
