Joshua T. Barbeau, 34, of Porterfield passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11 with his family by his side at Aurora BayCare, Green Bay.
Born March 2, 1979, to Marjorie Maggie Schmidt in Manitowoc, he graduated from New Holstein High School in 1997. He worked at the Kohler Company until attending NWTC-Marinette where he earned a Welding/Fabrication Degree. He then worked at Silven Industries and was currently employed at Marinette Marine.
He enjoyed hunting, making wine, fishing, ATVing and was a NASCAR and Packer fan and loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephew and Paden, who he loved as a son.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie (Robert Z) Schmidt-Zajdel, of Porterfield; girlfriend, Shane Davis, of Porterfield; her son, Paden Davis; a brother, Jaredd Barbeau, of New Holstein; a sister, Leah (Joseph Jr.) Brenner, of Mt. Calvary; maternal grandmother, Monica Pivonka, of Clarks Mills; nieces, Alexzandra Schleh and Sophia Brenner; nephew/godson, Joseph Brenner III and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gordon Schmidt and Harold Bud Pivonka; uncles, Gordon Schmidt Jr., Jim Mankins and Glenn Isaacson and cousin, Paul Johnson.
Friends called at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 3 p.m. until time of funeral services at 6 p.m., with Deacon Vince Beckley officiating.
