Hobert A. Lubas
Hobert A. Hobie Lubas, 78, of Brookside, passed away from cancer on Sunday, Feb. 16 at his home.
Born March 5, 1935 in Oconto, to the late Albert and Oneda (Gering) Lubas, he married Carol Baranczyk on June 7, 1961. He was an area logger, sawyer and farmer. He served in the United States Army and was the Machickanee American Legion Post Commander for one term. He also belonged to the Oconto Falls DAV and the Abrams Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol; a son, Al Lubas; three daughters, Ann (Doug) Williams, California; Barbara (Mike) Piechura, Maryland and Christine (Bill) Lambert, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Family will greet relatives and friends from 4:30 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Town of Pensaukee Town Hall. Pastors Darlene and Tom Athey from Stewards of Grace Ministries Church of Brussels will officiate.
