Nancy A. Haines
Nancy A. Haines, 79, of Marinette passed away on Monday, Feb. 24 at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born May 23, 1934, to the late Harold and Laurina (Schwerzler) Barrette in Menominee, her proudest achievement was returning to school and graduating from Menominee High School. On Nov. 30, 1951, she married Howard Jim Haines in Marinette and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1976. She was employed at KSU for many years.
A member of Holy Family Parish, she enjoyed bargain shopping for the less fortunate, was very charitable and enjoyed the time spent with her mother doing laundry.
She is survived by two sons, Jim (Laura) Haines and John (Julie) Haines, both of Marinette; a daughter, Teresa Andersen, of Menominee; a brother, George (Cindy) Barrette, of Peshtigo; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Thyne and three brothers, Bob, Ronald Crut and Harold Barrette.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 28 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m., with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Marinette Area Rescue Squad.
