Duncan C. Stuart
Duncan C. Stuart, 97, passed away Jan. 25 at Rennes Health Center-East, where he was a resident.
Born the youngest child to William and Mattie (Rehms) Stuart on April 25, 1916, he served in the United States Army during World War II and was in the invasion of Saipan and Tinian. He married the former, Eleanor A. Alswager in May of 1946 and she preceded him in death Aug. 18, 2010. He was employed at Badger Paper Mill for 33 years. He enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.
He is survived by two sons, Duane (Jill), of Marinette and Dennis (Shirley), of McFarland; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas; three brothers, William, John and Marlow and two sisters, Irene Telefson and Faye Dooley.
Private family services were held with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
