Carol Ann Bergstrom, 75, of Athelstane, passed away Friday, March 7 at home in the care of her family.
Born Sept. 26, 1938 in Chicago, daughter of Glenn and Jean (Seneschell) Workman, she married Fred Bergstrom on Jan. 23, 1965 in Chicago and they were married for 49 years.
She enjoyed visiting the Art Institute, swimming, dancing and camping with her husband. She was an artist, an excellent cook and baker, especially cookies, but most importantly she was a great mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; five children, Glenda Jean Bergstrom, Fredrick W. Bergstrom, John Michael Bergstrom, Christopher Martin Bergstrom and James Blaul; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Glenn Workman Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, John Blaul.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Saturday, March 15 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Silver Cliff, with Fr. Benjamin Sember officiating. Messar-Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
