Irene S. Kazukiewicz, 84, of Niagara, died on Monday, March 3 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Born May 1, 1929 in Buffalo, N.Y., daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Swiatkowski) Lachman, she was a graduate of St. Anne's High School there. She married Henry J. Kazukiewicz on Sept. 9, 1950 in Buffalo at the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2006.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Thomas (Mary) Kazukiewicz, of Fern, Gerald Kazukiewicz Sr., of Buffalo, N.Y., Debra (Bruce) Krause Sr., of Niagara and Robert Kazukiewicz Sr., of Lyndonville, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Jr.; a brother, Raymond Lachman and a granddaughter, Dana.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Niagara Cemetery. Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain assisted the family with arrangements.
