Michael J. Maricque, 74, Athelstane, passed away Thursday, March 6.
Born Dec. 7, 1939 in Green Bay, son of Robert and Lillian Maricque, he attended East High School, class of 1958. He served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves and was honorably discharged after 6 years as a sergeant in 1967. He married the former Marlene Stank and they celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 7, 2013.
He was employed at Hudson Sharp/FMC and retired in 2001 after 40 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing and working part-time at De Smidt's Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; children, Annette (Don) James, of Ohio, Mitchell, of Green Bay and Suzanne (Michael) O'Connor, of South Carolina; four granddaughters; a sister, Linda (Robert) Ferguson; a niece, Cara (Jeff) Ellis and many cousins.
