Viola Szymanski, 83, passed away, Sunday, March 9.
Born Oct. 29, 1930, to the late Reinhold and Anita Zarling in Gillett, she married Anthony Szymanski on Aug. 28, 1948. She spent many years as a homemaker and later worked at Elliott Glove Company.
A member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Gillett, she enjoyed fishing, sweepstakes, crafts, cooking, listening to polka music and sometimes playing the button box, but none compared to the time spent with her family, especially grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Klipstein (Suring) and Linda McGraw, both of Gillett; two sons, Wayne Szymanski, Oconto Falls and Mike Szymanski, Suring; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Francois, Dunbar, Arlene Mitchell, Oconto Falls and Caroline Wians, Shawano and a brother, Lonney Zarling, Brillion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Szymanski; a sister, Grace Sutrick; two daughters, Diane Roush and Debbie Paholke; two sons, Myron Szymanski and Rick Szymanski; a granddaughter, Marcia Leigh Speller and three brothers-in-law, Joe Mitchell, Lowell Wians and Ed Sutrick.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Services at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Gillett, with Pastor Doreen Jeffers officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery at later date.
