George Kempinskis Mark 50th Wedding on Cruise
George and Sandra Kempinski of Wausaukee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 8 on a Victory Carnival Cruise. They renewed their vows on deck under the moonlight sky with a nephew, Scott Hughes, officiating.
Also on the cruise were 23 family members including four members of their original wedding party. They were maid of honor Lenora Shamhart, best man Ernie Hughes, flower girl Janine Leonard, and ring bearer Ernie Hughes, Jr. Children of the couple witnessed the wedding vows.
The couple resided in Wausaukee for almost 46 years. They have four children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Now retired, the couple enjoys fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and making food plots for the deer. They spend time together with friends and their family members in Canada in the summer. The winters they spend in Texas.
