Shirley R. Fischer, 78, of Oconto, passed away Monday, March 17 at her home.
Born Sept. 15, 1935 in Oconto to the late Delbert and Addie (Beauleau) Whiting, she married Jim Fischer on April 9, 1975.
She is survived by her husband Jim Fischer, Oconto; two daughters, Cynthia (Jim) Maynard and Shirley (Wayne) Wolf, both of Oconto; two step-sons, Steve (Laurie) Fischer and Jim (Bonnie) Fischer; 10 brothers and sisters, Viola Longsine, Carol Shafman, Pat C. Whiting, James Whiting, Sue (Mark) Anderson, Mary (Russ) Luepke, Donald (Jodi) Whiting, Dennis Whiting (friend Kathy), Bob (Bonnie) Whiting and Kay (Jerry) Mahloch; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wallace Noack; a sister, Verene VanNorman and two brothers, Edgar and Marvin Whiting.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 21, with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating.
