Candus C. Menard, 70, of Marinette passed away on her birthday, Thursday, March 13 at home.
Born March 13, 1944, to the late Ken and Lois (Petty) Powell, she married married Woodrow Woody C. Menard, Jr. in Marinette on April 24, 1982. He preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1993. She worked for Marinette School District as a ParaProfessional for several years and most recently worked at the Marinette Welcome Center.
She loved spending time with her family and baking, especially banana bread.
She is survived by two sons, Kurt Miller, of Marinette and Kris (Michelle) Miller, of Malaysia; a daughter, Kelly (Steve) Wakkurri, of Gwinn, Mi.; three brothers, Ken Powell, Jim (Laurel) Powell and Billy (Carol Poquette) Powell, all of Marinette; three sisters, Mary (Steve) Klarkowski, of Green Bay, Laura (Jim) Carins, of Menominee and Sheila Johnston, of Powers; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woody and a son, Joe.
Friends called at Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 3 p.m., with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
