VFW Auxiliary Makes Donations
Crivitz--The Crivitz Memorial VFW Auxiliary met March 10 at the Crivitz Legion Hall. President Nora Swanson called the meeting to order. Mary Samsa read the secretarys minutes and LaVerne Lundberg gave the treasurers report. Two new members were welcomed, Melissa Boehmke and Heather Wold. Monthly donations were made to hospital projects for veterans to cover St. Patricks Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and other activities.
The Auxiliary will join with Post 2063 members with a donation toward a scholarship for a Crivitz High School graduate judged by essays received.
The New essay titles for next year are in Voice of Democracy, Why Veterans are Important to Our Nations History and Future. In the Patriotic Pen category, Why I Appreciate Americas Veterans.
Jolene Boehmke will be a delegate at the State Convention in Eau Claire on June 4-7.
