Bernyce Carol Lemire
Bernyce Carol Lemire, 89, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, March 23 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1925 in Harvey, N.D., to the late John and Magdalene (Filler) Sackman, she graduated from Tuttle High School in 1943. She married Raymond Lemire, Sr. on May 30, 1944 in Santa Barbara, Ca. and he preceded her in death July 24, 2012.
A member of Grace Episcopal Church of Menominee, she enjoyed reading, shopping and was a fan of the Menominee Maroons, Michigan Wolverines and Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Peter) Dubovenko, of Wallace, Mi.; two sons, Terry (Bonnie) Lemire, of Menominee and Raymond (Sheryl) Lemire, Jr., of Marinette; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mavis (Kenneth) Edinger and Kay (Tom) Howe; a brother, Bob Sackman and many special friends.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Wilke; a great-granddaughter, Danelle; two sisters Laura Petermann and Betty Miller and five brothers, Jake, Albert, Emil, Bert and John Sackman.
Friends may call at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home, Menominee from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. Rev. Mary Miron, Deacon Jackie Everson and Deacon Betty Korn will officiate with burial in Mellen Township Cemetery in Wallace. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
