Diane J. Broadwater, 72, of Garfield , passed away Jan. 17 with family by her side.
Born to Mike and Margaret Glish on June 3, 1941 in Crivitz, she had eight siblings and graduated as salutatorian from Crivitz High School. She traveled to Alaska and met her future husband, Bob Broadwater, whom she married in 1967. While there, daughters Tara and Tricia were born. The couple moved to Minnesota in 1975 where they farmed north of Parkers Prairie.
She operated Antiques and Accents with some associates in downtown Alexandria for 23 years. She had a knack for decorating and designed homes with the antiques she collected over the years. She enjoyed life and her three grandsons.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Broadwater; two daughters, Tara Broadwater and Tricia Landgaard; three grandsons and two sisters, Judy and Linda.
A private family memorial service is being planned for a later date. Per her request, donations or memorials can be made to the Minnesota Autism Center. Lind Family Funeral Home of Parkers Prairie is assisting the family.
