SC Fire, Rescue Discuss Picnic
The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary met Monday, April 14 in the Silver Cliff Town Hall with President Dee Farley presiding. The secretary and treasurer reports were approved as read. Following reports of standing committees, members discussed plans for the 37th annual picnic which will be held on Aug. 9. Proceeds from the picnic are used primarily to support the Silver Cliff Fire Department and Rescue Squad and scholarship for high school seniors. Committee chairpersons and responsibilities were set up.
Community members are invited to participate in the parade which precedes the picnic. There will be trophies awarded to the best floats. Anyone with questions can contact the Parade Marshal, Paul Farley at 715-757-3922.
The meeting concluded with a Round Table discussion by members. The next meeting will be held on May 12th at 10 AM followed by a salad and dessert luncheon. Area ladies interested in joining the group are encouraged to attend the meetings.
