Eva A. Danz, 96, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, April 9 at Odd Fellow Nursing Home.
Born July 17, 1917, in Maplewood to Jacob and Elsie (Plinske) Babler, she married J. Gilbert Danz in Green Bay on June 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1986. She was a baker at the St. Matthew School cafeteria for many years.
An avid Packer fan, she also enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family. She will be missed.
Survivors include her children, Mary (Walter) Wied, Sebring, Fla., Susan (Leroy) Joppa, Laona, Jane (James) LeFevre, Dyckesville, Terese Herden, Wausaukee and Stephanie (Glenn) Danz, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marge Danz; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Gilbert Danz; a son, John Danz and a son-in-law, Michael Herden.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Monday, April 14 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Green Bay, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Phillip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiated with entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter.
