Beecher Voters Approve Contracts, Equipment Fund

Beecher--Approval of the fire department contract, putting money in the equipment fund, Cemetery Association funding and donation were among items approved at the Town of Beecher annual meeting of electors held Tuesday, April 15. There were eight electors present at the meeting chaired by Dan Groy.
Approved was the $10,000 contract with the Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Fire Department for services on motion of Tom Zernia, seconded by John Keeley.
Electors also approved payment of the contract with Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Rescue Squad for $15,000 for services on motion of Bruce Djupstrom, seconded by Gene Tessman.
Approval was given to continue with the Cemetery Association for $1,200 on motion of John Keeley, seconded by Carolyn Keeley.
The town will continue with Forward Financial Credit Union and Bank North for the town 's financial institutions on motion of Carolyn Keeley, seconded by Gene Tessman.
Approved was continuance of the Peshtigo Times as the town 's official newspaper on motion of Bruce Djupstrom, seconded by John Keeley.
Clerk Betty Nowack read the minutes of the April 16, 2013 meeting which were approved on motion by Tom Zernia, seconded by Gene Tessman.
Approved was the annual financial report as presented by the clerk on motion of John Keeley, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom.
Town notices will be posted at the Pembine Post Office, Mary 's Place and the Town Hall on motion by John Keeley, seconded by Tom Zernia seconded.
Electors also approved putting $21,000 in the equipment fund on motion of Carolyn Keeley, seconded by Tom Zernia.
Approved was a $200 donation to the Youth Baseball League on motion of Tom Zernia, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom.
Tabled to 2015 was additional funds to the fire equipment reserve fund.
The Community Watch group expressed thanks to the Board for the use of the town hall.
Electors set the 2015 annual meeting for Wednesday, April 21, 2015 at 6 p.m. on motion of Tom Zernia, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom.
The 20 minute annual meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m. on motion by John Keeley and seconded by Tom Zernia.
