David L. Reed
David Davey L. Reed, 69, of Pound passed away Saturday, April 19 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.
Born to John and Margaret (Pillsbury) Reed Feb. 1, 1945 in Oconto, he married the former Charlotte Kelsey on Dec. 4, 1965 there. He retired from the Patz Corp. after 41 years.
He served on the Coleman Fire Department, retiring after 38 years and also served on the Coleman Rescue Squad and Pound Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cheese making, pitting for his sons stock car racing team and visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte; three children, Terry (Donna) Reed, Coleman, Tom (Christa) Reed, Grover and Tammy (special friend, Leonard Podoski), Beaver; four grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Linda) Reed, Oconto and two sisters, Joan (Harlin) Nowak and Cindy Reed, both of Oconto.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Dale and a sister, Shirley (William) Cook.
Relatives and friends called at the Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman on Tuesday, April 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continued Wednesday, April 23 at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Pastor Jarred Edgecombe officiated with burial in First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.
