Mary E. Schuchart, 88, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, April 16 surrounded by her family.
Born to Louise (Janssen) and John Liegeois on Aug. 16, 1925 in Menominee, she married Robert J. Schuchart on Aug. 19, 1950 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Water St. in Marinette. She worked for 25 years for the Marinette School District as the Visual Aids/Library Secretary at the Middle School, retiring in 1987.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting slippers and baby gifts, cooking, baking apple pie, watching cardinals in her yard, angel collecting and playing the piano and organ. She loved family activities, Packer and Brewers parties, attending her grandchildren's activities and Liverpool card club. Her favorite memories were the BS & W camp outings, family weddings, boat trips, trips to Europe and looking at pictures of her grandchildren. A member of Holy Family Parish, she was also a member of the Altar Society and a volunteer for BAMC Auxiliary Information Center and Gift Shop.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years; Bob Schuchart; two daughters, Nancy Sebero (Steve Waugus) and Linda (Dennis) Reum; a son, Steve (Patti) Schuchart; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Bob Liegeois and three sisters, Rachel Liegeois, Helen Doran and Rosalie Beckham.
Family and friends called at Thielen Funeral Home on Monday, April 21 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 5 p.m. at Holy Family Parish Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Taylor St. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum. A memorial has been established in her name for BAMC Auxiliary fund.
