Randall C. Vieth
Randall "Randy" C. Vieth, 68, of Beloit passed away Friday, April 18 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
Born June 5, 1945 in Marinette, son of Donald and Verna (Gordon) Vieth, he graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1964. He served in the US Army in Vietnam where he was a River Raider on the Mekong Delta in 1967. He married Cheryl L. "Sherry" Davis on March 1, 1969 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Janesville. He was employed for over 40 years at Warner Electric, retiring in 2004. A member of the Beloit Rifle Club and lifetime member of the NRA, he loved being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a son, Zachary (Amanda Helms) Vieth, of Seattle, Wa.; his mother, Verna Vieth, of Beloit; a sister, Robin (Steve) Vieth Austin, of Beloit; brothers and sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Dave and Bertha Gordon and Edward and Martha Vieth, all of Marinette.
Friends called on Tuesday, April 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Janesville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23 at the funeral home, followed by military honors.
