Carole Elizabeth Dobbins, 93, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, April 28 at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born March 28, 1921 in Marinette, to William and Ella (Kraus) Grenier, she graduated from Marinette High School and married Dale Dobbins on July 22, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1975. She worked at the former Boreal Glove Company and later at the Menominee Public Library.
A member of Resurrection Church in Menominee for many years, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on holidays, she was a loyal friend, wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, canning, going out for lunch with friends, traveling, bowling and was an avid Packer that didnt miss a game.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosalind (Dave) Dodge and Diane (Mike) Berres, both of Menominee; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Warren Grenier and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded her in death by two brothers and three sisters-in-law, William (Catherine) Grenier, Roland (Marcella) Grenier and Francis Grenier; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris (Victor) Neshek and Joyce (Edward) May; a niece, Karen Frenzel and a nephew, James Grenier.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1, from 4 p.m. until time of a Vigil prayer service at 6 p.m., with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Parish. Fr. Mark McQuesten will preside with entombment in Forest Home Mausoleum. The Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Any acts of kindness and sympathy can be directed to a memorial fund that is being established.
