Eunice I. Moericke
Eunice Ida Moericke, 97, of DePere, formerly of Bonduel, passed away Friday, April 25.
Born Sept. 14, 1916 in Hortonville, daughter of Walter and Elvira (Baars) Bleick, the family relocated to the Bonduel area when she was young. Her father opened Bleicks Creamery which produced cheese, ice cream and butter. On Sept. 14, 1938, she married Elmer E. Moericke who preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1991. The couple worked with her father at the creamery, taking over the business in 1951 until their retirement in 1979.
A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, Bible Study, puzzles, games, cards, Bingo and loved dogs and birds.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Randy) Tank, of Gillett; a son, Daniel (Susan) Moericke, of DePere; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Moericke, of Bonduel; two sisters-in-law, Marge Bleick, of Cecil and Marie Moericke, of Crandon; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; two sons, Wayne and Norman; a daughter, Diana and two brothers, Carl and Robert.
Visitation was held Monday, April 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel from 9 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Palmer officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Suring assisted the family with arrangements.
