THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Lucille Lu Ericksen, 65, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, May 4 at the Luther Home.
Born March 21, 1949, daughter of James and Josephine (Pankowski) Grabowski, she married Daniel Swede Ericksen March 19, 1977 at St. Marys Catholic Church. She worked in the office of Badger Paper Mill for 25 years.
A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, she taught CCD classes for many years. She enjoyed doing yard work, loved watching the Chicago Bulls and Bears and going to the cabin to watch the water and waves.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Swede of Marinette; two brothers, Richard (Margaret), of Waukesha and Jim (Diane), of Coleman; three sisters, Doreen (Steve) Houge, of Milton, Lorraine (Chris) Spangenberg, of Peshtigo and Elaine (Paul) Borkovec, of Peoria, Az.; a brother-in-law, Hubert Wiedemeier; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Wiedemeier.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 7 at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo.
