Louis J. Molle
Louis J. Molle, 81, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, April 27 at his home.
Born March 10, 1933 in Niagara, son of Louis and Elizabeth (Thoune) Molle, Sr., he grew up there and graduated from Niagara High School in 1951. He married Yvonne Weber on Sept. 19, 1951 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2001. He worked for Kimberly Clark and Pentair Paper Corporation in Niagara, retiring in 1995. A member of the local union, he served as union steward, treasurer and chief negotiator and was also a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, traveling to Florida, spending time at his cottage at the lake, watching Niagara High School sporting events and telling family stories.
He is survived by two sons, Randy (Jyl) Molle, Madison and Brian (Deb) Molle, Plattevillle; a daughter, Julie (Craig) Hopfensperger, Waterford; a daughter-in-law, Beth Molle, Niagara; a special friend for many years, Arlene Eggener, Niagara; four sisters, Lyda Haskins and Evelyn Kiesling, River Falls, Doris Growden, Lake Tahoe, Ca. and Kathy (Walter) Michaud, Kingsford; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Yvonne, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary in 2001; two infant brothers, Clifford and Louis and two sisters, Marie Johnson and Alice Keck.
Visitation was held Monday, May 5 from 10 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. Father Matt Settle officiated with burial in Niagara Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Unity Hospice c/o Unity, 2366 Oak Ridge Circle, De Pere, WI 54115 or the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet, 1401 S. Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain, MI 49801 in his memory. Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
