Homer C. Seymour, Jr., 86, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 7, 1927 in Escanaba, Mi., to Homer and Mary Seymour, Sr., he spent his early life in Escanaba and married the former, Rose Lima Potvin on July 26, 1947 in Schaffer, Mi. They resided in Bark River, Mi., until moving to Marinette in 1964. He owned and operated M & W Vending, Inc. of Marinette with his family.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at camp, taking fishing trips to Canada and woodworking. He began spending winters in Florida in 1993 and only recently returned to Marinette for the season.
He is survived by four children, Ronald (Mary) Seymour, George (Lori) Seymour, Mary (Roger) LaMack and Sue Ryan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Potvin and a brother, Robert Seymour, both of Escanaba and his special companion, Marcelle Godin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, in 1995.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette from 2 p.m. until time of funeral services at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiated with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
