Seek Golfers, Sponsors For Peshtigo Scholarship Fundraiser On June 27
The first annual Peshtigo High School Scholarship golf outing will be held on Friday, June 27 at Little River Country Club in Marinette.
The event is being established to raise funds to support scholarships for graduating Peshtigo High School seniors. Last year $2500 scholarships were awarded to six seniors and with the support and participation of golfers and sponsors, the committee is looking to increase this fund and award another six $2500 scholarships this year.
The golfing fundraiser will begin with registration and lunch at 11:30am followed by a shotgun start at 1pm. Dinner and awards will be presented after golf.
The founders and organizers of the scholarship fund are George Ochs and Jack May, 1964 graduates of Peshtigo High School. May is also the owner of Bay Title & Abstract, Inc. The Rennes Group is the title sponsor and the scholarship committee is in the process of securing corporate help for the golf, food and carts.
Event applications are available at Lees Family Foods and Patrick Robbins American Family Insurance office, both in Peshtigo along with Little River Country Club.
Any Peshtigo business interested in participating in a sponsorship role is urged to contact Terry Leigh, N 3324 Kozuzek Road, Marinette, Wis. 54143 or call 715-582-4910.
