THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Darol Sparky Bredell, 80, of Pensaukee, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 10 at home. He was born March 3, 1934 in Green Bay to the late Clarence and Marvel (Nelson) Bredell and on Oct. 26, 1957 married Marcia Pelegrin and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage until her passing on Oct. 26, 2013.
He worked for the Green Bay Press Gazette for many years as well as Valley Printing until retirement.
He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, visiting friends daily and loved his animals.
Survivors include a son, Kenny Bredell (special friend Ruth); a daughter-in-law, Julie Bredell; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kurt (Susan) Bredell.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Rick, Randy and Dennis Sparky Bredell.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto from 4-8 pm Tuesday, May 13 with Parish Wake Service at 7 pm. Visitation continued at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto from 9-10:30 am Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 14 at the Church. Father Joel Sember officiated and burial was at St. Benedicts Catholic Cemetery, Suamico.
